A street about 1.6 km long running east to west through the center of Naha. Because it recovered in a short time from the postwar ruins, it is called the "Miracle Mile." Souvenir shops, restaurants, and markets line the street, and most Okinawan souvenirs can be found here. Makishi Public Market is also nearby.
