A valley at the heart of Meiji-no-Mori Minoh Quasi-National Park, famous for the 33-meter Minoh Falls. Tea houses and souvenir shops line the roughly 2.8 km "waterfall trail" from the station to the falls, and it is especially busy in the autumn foliage season. The local specialty is "momiji tempura", maple leaves deep-fried in batter, and eating freshly fried ones while walking toward the falls is the classic way to enjoy it.
