An old Koyasan Shingon-sect temple known as the "temple of victory", where votive "katsu-daruma" dolls for wishes are offered throughout the grounds. The sight is unlike anywhere else, and many visitors take home a small daruma as a memento of their visit. The vast mountain grounds, spanning eight cho, are famous for autumn leaves and cherry blossoms, and the scenery changes through the four seasons.
