One of the largest commercial facilities in the Naka-Kawachi area, in front of Kintetsu-Yao Station, with about 180 shops anchored by Ito-Yokado. It has a Rikuro Ojisan shop (Ario Yao), where lines form to buy freshly baked cheesecake. Yao is also a production area for young burdock and edamame, and local processed farm products are on sale.
