A celebrated sweet from Ishiya of Hokkaido. White chocolate is sandwiched between langue de chat cookies, and since its launch in 1976 it has been known as the souvenir that represents Hokkaido. The name (meaning "white lovers") comes from a remark by the company president likening it to snow.

What Japanese buyers say

Reviewers praise the crisp, buttery langue de chat with a thick layer of white chocolate, the elegant blue-and-white packaging, the long shelf life, and the individually wrapped pieces in many box sizes that are easy to hand out at the office; it is light to carry and fairly priced. Several note it is quite sweet and a predictable choice, and some wish bulk buys were cheaper.
